League Commissioner
One of the original founders and commissioner of this elite league, Jake has had a long and complicated history in the final standings. Taking the phrase “If you ain’t first, you’re last” to heart, Jake is simply either at the top or the bottom. Knowing 100% his first 4 or 5 picks will quickly go down with season ending injuries, you can typically find Jake picking up rookies, browsing the waiver wire, or most notoriously making game-breaking trades across the league. If you find yourself a recipient of one of Jake’s trade requests, you can be sure to find yourself heading to the top of the league. Jake, or Clutch McGee as his friends call him, is already preparing for the next fresh, upstanding, and competitive season with his #1 overall draft position pick.
Gambling Addict Turned Pro
Coby Evers: Sweaty Nethers, Colgate, Colby Heavers, Chunky Feathers, Debate King, Saint of San Angelo, Dallas Lover, Minister of Fun. Just know that when you meet this man, you won't forget him. After forgoing an acting career (Men, Women, & Children) and also swerving an athletics career (8 time IM Champion), Coby is now serving and raising up the next generation to be thoughtful citizens of America by empowering them with Speech and Debate skills. Pretty awesome, right? He also loves betting on sports, knowing more than you, doing awkward dances with his hands behind his back, and making the most out of a good time. <3
The Platooner CTO
Matt Stone is one of the founding club presidents, having been present for all previous iterations of the Platooner League. Having taken home the championship in 2020 and making a return to the championship match up in the 2022 season, Team Stone is a betting favorite to top the league in 2023. The University of Texas product is a verifiable blue blood, but garners fans with the likable familiarity of your favorite underdog.
League Support Dawg
Keaton is truthfully one of the biggest surprises this league has produced. He has known the commissioner the longest yet he continues to excel and win supporters through his wonderful personality and charming jokes. The only thing better than trading players with Keaton is sharing an embrace. He has captured the culture through his humor and terrible picks. I don’t think he is trying to win the league but to win friendship along the way. Also congrats on the marriage!
The Platooner CEO
Hunter Tormey, known by fellow league mates as "The Golden Boy", is an experienced PPL manager that always fields a competitive side. The fun-loving Tormey has multiple top 3 finishes across his 5 seasons as a PPL gaffer, but remains in search of his first league title. Trained in the art of persuasion at Baylor Law School, Tormey is notorious for using his negotiating skills to facilitate highly favorable yet mutually beneficial trades for his club. In addition to managing his team, Tormey serves as Editor in Chief of The Platooner, the official publication of the PPL.
Kenny Turner is just a good ol' Dallas Blonde who treats his fantasy football team much like you would treat a member of your own family. A relative newcomer to the league, Turner has been in the thiccc of the title race each of his first two PPL campaigns. As the league's social media manager, it is safe to say that Turner has made his presence felt across the league in a variety of ways. Turner hopes to continue that trend by winning the PPL in 2023-2024.
Account Manager
Sam Dunegan goes by many names: Sammy D, Sensi Boy, The Special One, the TF Baby, and The Total Package. Yet the name Dunegan is so disparaged many forget the Special's one victory in 2021. As one of the most daring managers in the league, Dunegan's ironic team names and eccentric hairstyles are always sure to grab attention. Dunegan prides himself on his ability to find key values in the draft. His tr
Marketing Manager
Mitch Cantway’s Poople legacy consists of several sub-500 seasons, one first round exit in the Poople Playoffs, and a few scandalous trades.
He’ll readily admit that his $20 contribution to the Poople Prize Pot is merely a tax he pays to be included in a group chat with his friends.
On particularly honest days, you might even find him questioning how we allow this modern, gladiatorial bloodsport we call football to grip our collective American societal consciousness so tightly.
But the light and love of Poople draws him back in each year, tenderly cradling him a bosom that smells faintly of gambling addiction, feeding him from a teet that spews camaraderie and competition in an eternal fountain of football and friendship.

Clines, $Clines, Stevie, Stevo, Big Stevey Cheesy. Just like his fellow high school alumni, Andrew Luck - Stephen has an impressive regular season record in football. Stephen like Luck is known for being the most studied and ready manager. Will Stephen be able to fight the tides of a losing football culture in Houston and reach new heights? Or is he just a Bill O’Brien disguised??
Head of Marketing
Mack Magner, or MacK as he is better known, is a native Nutmegger that has been living large in Texas for the past 5 years. Magner is a seasoned fantasy sports powerhouse, perennially coming in 3rd place in both football and hockey leagues. However, the 2023-2024 season will be Magner's first as a member of the PPL, and he is greatly looking forward to building friendships with fellow league mates and and making waves in what he believes will be "Rhamondres Season.".
Andrew Forey is more mystery than man. He is currently under a NDA about his own life. We can confirm three key things about him. He loves SATX, He loves buckets, and He might flake on anything for any reason. But will he flake on his team as he makes his debut? Time will tell.
